This is a tasty trial batch; easy to make.<br /><br />Mystic Pizza Hut Romano Dressing<br /><br />1 cup neutral oil<br />2 oz buttermilk or milk<br />2 T red wine vinegar or other vinegar<br />2 T. lemon juice<br />½ tsp salt<br />2 tsp minced garlic or equivalent powder<br />½ tsp white pepper or black pepper<br />½ tsp mustard powder<br />½ tsp onion powder<br />2/3 cup grated Romano, pre-blended to small grain<br />¼ tsp MSG or omit<br />2 eggs 1 might be enough<br /><br />Stick blend all ingredients except oil in 1 pint container.<br />Add oil very gradually while blending until it thickens but remains pour-able, refrigerate; it will thicken more.<br /><br />6/11/12<br />This is pretty tart, maybe 1T lemon juice, not 2<br />Could double the pepper<br />Could add 1/3 cup more cheese <br />Could add ½ tsp more salt<br />Could add ½ to 1 tsp sugarAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5204125593232642519.post-5720183066316094342012-04-25T20:56:05.848-07:002012-04-25T20:56:05.848-07:00I am so exicted to try this! I tried yours and it is fantastic! I did make a couple of changes, however, the second time I made it:<br /><br />1) Instead of curdling the milk with lemon juice, I just used regular buttermilk. It was thicker and creamier and gave a better texture.<br /><br />2) I used about half as much garlic, since it was a little strong for my taste.<br /><br />Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful recipe!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
